Eric R. Harlan is a partner in the Firm’s litigation department. For over fourteen years as a trial lawyer, he has achieved favorable results for clients in a variety of matters, including complex commercial disputes, wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury litigation, employment related cases, and domestic actions. In recognition of his accomplishments, Martindale-Hubbell awarded Mr. Harlan its AV Peer Review Rating, the highest rating available.

Mr. Harlan represents large and small businesses, non-profits, and individuals, counseling them on a broad range of commercial, employment, domestic, and personal injury matters. He is experienced in the prosecution and defense of commercial tort actions, fraud litigation, and partnership disputes. He has represented clients in lawsuits over non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, unfair competition, and federal and state wage-and-hour matters, and has helped clients prevent exposure to potential employment-related liabilities. Mr. Harlan has represented both husbands and wives in complex domestic disputes. In the personal injury arena, he has obtained favorable settlements for victims injured as a result of professional malpractice, automobile negligence, and sexual assault. Given his trial and appellate experience at the state and federal levels, clients trust Mr. Harlan to go to court if their disputes cannot be resolved amicably.

A cum laude graduate of Washington & Lee University, and a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law, Mr. Harlan began practicing in 1995 after clerking for the Honorable Joseph H.H. Kaplan, Administrative Judge of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Mr. Harlan is active in the American Bar Association and in the Baltimore legal community.
