Recently, Dan Zeller, Partner in Shapiro Sher’s Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Group, presented on emerging issues in Chapter 11 Subchapter V bankruptcy cases at the annual Maryland Bankruptcy Bar Association Spring Break Conference in Annapolis.
Dan regularly represents bankruptcy trustees, debtors, premium finance companies, secured lenders, and other creditors in complex bankruptcy proceedings nationwide, handling confirmation issues, avoidance actions, and dischargeability matters, as well as commercial litigation in state and federal courts. He also structures sophisticated asset sales and business dispositions in insolvency contexts to maximize recoveries and protect client interests in distressed transactions.
His presentation examined recent developments including debt limit/eligibility issues, cram-down confirmation related to “projected disposable income”, and non-dischargeability actions against corporate debtors.
